LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police are looking for a driver accused of causing thousands of dollars in damage on a local church's property.
The department shared video in a Facebook post Friday showing three cars enter the parking lot of the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church.
Police said the cars were doing burnouts in the parking lot, causing damage to church property.
"What may seem like 'just doing a burnout' can result in significant property damage, costly repairs, and criminal charges," LMPD said. "Doing so on church property makes the act even more disappointing and unacceptable."
While investigators have identified the drivers in two of the vehicles, they're asking for help finding the driver of the third vehicle.
"This reckless behavior is not only illegal—it shows a complete disregard for our community and those who work hard to maintain it," police said.
