LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A roadway that connects part of southern Jefferson County to Bullitt County was blocked by concrete slabs that came off a semi-trailer.
Louisville Metro Emergency Services sent out a LENSAlert just after 3 p.m. Tuesday. It said, "Holsclaw Hill Rd/ Mitchell Hill Rd will be shut down for an extended period of time due to several thousand pounds of concrete slabs that came off a trailer." It reopened for cars to get through about 90 minutes later with delays.
Lifelong Fairdale resident Mindy Stoess shared photos exclusively with WDRB of the semi blocking Mitchell Hill Road just past Holsclaw Hill Road.
Stoess said there were no slabs in the road or nearby creek. "The truck collided with a flatbed carrying concrete slabs. The load slid. They are waiting for help to move the load," she said.
Stoess saw at least one school bus forced to detour.
