LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new beverage is joining the Coca-Cola family, and it's loaded with energy.
The soda giant announced that it is buying a 17-percent stake in Monster. The company also says it will swap ownership of some other brands.
Coca-Cola will give Monster its energy drink brands like "Nos" and "Full Throttle."
Monster's non-energy drinks will also be part of Coca-Cola's brand.
The deal between the two drink companies has been in the works for some time now.
