Louisville, KY (1-27-14) -- Some of Louisville’s top downtown attractions have a special deal for Kentucky and Indiana residents: $5 admission at each attraction for the month of February.
The promotion encourages locals to enjoy these wonderful attractions that are close to home. Thanks to $5 February, Kentucky and Indiana residents can escape a dreary, cold winter day and take advantage of world-class, indoor entertainment without having to travel very far or spend a lot of money.

To take advantage of the offer guests must show proof of residency in Kentucky or Indiana, such as a driver’s license or alternate ID while purchasing tickets. Others in the party will also receive the $5 admission, a substantial savings over $9 - $13 regular ticket prices. The special offer cannot be combined with other discounts, and does not apply to special tours or events.

Frazier History Museum: Opening February 22, Long May She Wave: A Graphic History of the American Flag. With its wide range of objects and memorabilia, the private collection of renowned graphic designer Kit Hinrichs shares the world’s artistic love affair with the stars and stripes. See how the iconic red, white and blue have evolved into a fascinating genre of folk art.
Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft: The Essential Elijah Pierce. Elijah Pierce was one of the most significant self-taught artists of the 20th century. Pierce was a prolific African American wood carver known for his brightly painted narrative bas-relief panels illustrating religious scenes and images from popular culture. His sculptural carvings are recognized as important works of American Folk Art.
Denise Furnish and Walter Early: Color Stories. Denise Furnish and Walter Early, who work independently of each other, explore bold color - in the case of Early to cover his metal sculptures and for Furnish to alter her well-worn fabric canvases. They have been paired together for this exhibition to initiate a dialogue between the two bodies of work.

Muhammad Ali Center: Dear Mr. Mandela, Dear Mrs. Parks: Children’s Letters, Global Lessons. Features inspiring letters written by children from all over the world to human rights leaders Nelson Mandela and Rosa Parks. This exhibition also includes video-taped welcomes from three Nobel Prize Awardees: President Mandela, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and President Obama, and an opportunity for visitors to write to individuals who have changed their lives or communities-- including Muhammad Ali.
