LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- New Albany was buzzing Saturday as hundreds of people participated in Pollinator Day.
Purdue Extension Floyd County and Sunnyside Master Gardeners hosted the 10th annual event. There were classes on humming birds, pollinators and bats.
There were also vendor booths and food trucks, along with pollinator-related merchandise.
People were able to interact and learn about pollination.
"There's little things we can do like putting out a hummingbird feeder, building a native bee nest out of hollowed out stems, planting natives, those are all things people can learn about here," said Gina Anderson, Agriculture and Natural Resources Coordinator for Purdue Extension Floyd County.
Attendees could also buy plants to help pollinators and people could also see a bee colony.
