LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — No one was injured after a fire broke out Sunday afternoon at a west Louisville home.
Louisville Fire Department spokesperson Donovan Sims said crews responded to a fire in the 200 block of South 23rd Street at 1 p.m.
According to Sims, crews encountered heavy fire conditions in the rear of the home, and the fire had already extended to an adjacent home on the D side of the building.
Crews worked to contain the heavy fire, which had also extended to the second-floor portions of both structures.
It took 40 firefighters 43 minutes to bring the fire under control. Officials said no one was injured.
Three adults were displaced.
The Louisville Fire Department’s Metro Arson Bureau is investigating.
No one was injured in the Sunday afternoon fire.
