LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) --Ā A public hearing next week will look into the cargo ship collision that collapsed part of a western Kentucky bridge.

The Delta Mariner crashed into the Eggner's Ferry Bridge across the Tennessee River near Aurora, KentuckyĀ onĀ January 26, 2012.

A 322-foot section of the bridge fell into the river.Ā  No one was hurt.

Kentucky officials want $7.1 million in damages from the company that operated the cargo ship.Ā  That company is asking a federal judge to dismiss that claim and others that add up to $7.8 million.
