LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There was a protest for better health care outside of Humana headquarters in downtown Louisville Wednesday morning.

The group, Kentuckians for Single Payer Health Care, said thousands of retirees have been denied the right to choose or keep their doctors.

This comes after Humana and Baptist Health Physicians failed to reach an agreement.

"We are victims," Kirk Gillenwaters, Medicare Advantage patient, said. "We are victims in this because like I said, we are seniors and by the fact that we shouldn't have to go out there and be in this rat race to try to find new doctors."

The group also wants to see big changes to Medicare and a shift away from Medicare Advantage Plans. They're pushing for a national, not-for-profit, single-payer Medicare system.
