LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana woman facing several charges in connection to a fatal crash in Trimble County, Kentucky, appeared in court Tuesday morning.
Mary May, 29, pleaded not guilty to reckless homicide, reckless driving, wanton endangerment and assault.
According to Kentucky State Police, the crash happened just before 10 a.m. June 16 on U.S. 421, but May wasn't arrested until July 28.
Police said May was driving with three children in the car when she crossed the center line and hit a truck head-on. According to court documents, May was driving 60 mph in a 35 mph zone when she hit the truck.
The truck driver, 39-year-old David Logan, was killed in the crash. May and the three children, ages 5, 4 and 4, were flown to hospitals in Louisville with serious injuries. While their conditions are unknown, court documents state the two 4-year-olds were released from the hospital.
May's bond was set at $175,000. She's due back in court Aug. 11.
