LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana woman faces several charges, including reckless homicide, after a fatal crash in Trimble County, Kentucky.
According to Kentucky State Police, the crash happened just before 10 a.m. June 16 on US 421. But the suspect, Mary May, 29, of Jeffersonville, wasn't arrested until this week.
Police said May was driving with three children in the car when she crossed the center line and hit a truck head-on. The truck driver, 39-year-old David Logan, was killed in the crash.
May and the three children, ages 5, 4 and 4, were flown to hospitals in Louisville with serious injuries. While their conditions are unknown, court documents state the two 4-year-olds were released from the hospital.
Police arrested May on Tuesday and charged her with reckless homicide, reckless driving, wanton endangerment and assault.
According to court documents, May was driving 60 mph in a 35 mph zone when she hit Logan's truck.
May is due back in court next week.
