LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A driver was killed Thursday night after crashing into a tow truck on Interstate 71 North in Oldham County.
The Oldham County Police Department said officers responded around 11:05 p.m. on reports of a crash on I-71 just north of the La Grange on-ramp.
According to investigators, 34-year-old Parvina Shodieva of Waterloo, Ontario, rear-ended a tow truck that was assisting a tractor cab on the shoulder of the road.
Police said Shodieva suffered fatal injuries from the crash and died on the scene. The driver of the tow truck was uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation.
