LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a homeowner in Cynthiana, Kentucky killed an intruder early Monday after a woman he met online let two men inside the home so they could rob him.

The victim shot one of the intruders before he escaped.

According to a news release from Kentucky State Police, it all started early Monday when the victim was contacted on social media by 27-year-old Raven Edwards of Cynthiana. Police say the victim agreed to let Edwards visit him at his home in the 200 block of Monroe Lane. After she arrived, police say she went outside and came back in with two men – 28-year-old Marcus Gross and 26-year-old Larry Nolen, both of Cynthiana.

That's when police say Gross and Nolen attacked the homeowner, who managed to fire several shots from his gun, striking Gross, before he ran from the home with Nolen. Investigators say Nolen took Gross to Harrison Memorial Hospital, where he abandoned a maroon 2000 Chevy Impala and took off on foot.

Gross was pronounced dead at the hospital; Nolen is still on the loose.

Edwards is facing robbery and burglary charges and is being held at the Bourbon County Jail.

Police are still searching for Nolen, who is described as 5'7 and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a ponytail. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
