LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- St. Matthews Police have arrested a woman after they say she stole a credit card from a storage locker used by employees of Baptist Health Louisville -- formerly known as Baptist Hospital East.

According to an arrest report, the alleged theft took place on Jan. 22. Police say an employee of the hospital called to report that her Visa card had been stolen from her locker in the Critical Care Unit employee room.

Police say someone had used the card to pay for a $1.50 vending machine charge, as well as a charge to the amount of $286.70 for a Sprint phone bill.

Brandinasia A. Downing, age 23, was eventually located, and allegedly confessed to making the charges, as well as throwing the card into the trash when she was finished.

She was arrested and charged with theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, and tampering with physical evidence, according to an arrest report.
