LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Bowling Green man is facing several charges after he allegedly used fireworks to set a fire inside a residence in Glasgow, Kentucky, during the July 4 holiday.
Officers with the Glasgow Police Department responded to reports of a fire at the residence on Village Circle on the evening of July 4, according to a news release. Investigators were told Shawn Green Jr. was in a verbal argument when he carried out a threat to ignite fireworks inside a bedroom. Police said he lit the fireworks and threw them on a bed, causing a fire.
Green was gone when officers arrived but he was located in Bowling Green by Kentucky State Police troopers. He was arrested and taken to the Barren County Detention Center.
Green is charged with first degree arson and three counts of wanton endangerment.
