LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell fell down while walking through the Capitol building Thursday.

On his way to the Senate floor to cast a vote, video taken by Sunrise Movement and posted to X shows McConnell holding the arm of a security member walking through a Capitol hallway. As someone approaches him to ask a question, he let go of the man's arm, walking on his own. A few seconds later, he fell.

His team helped McConnell to his feet, and he waved to the camera before continuing onward. In a statement Thursday, his spokesperson said he's "all good" and went on to vote on the Senate floor shortly thereafter.
