LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Severe weather left damage Thursday night in Bloomington, Indiana.
Several watches and warnings in Indiana and around the Louisville-area went into effect Thursday evening, bringing rain, thunder and lighting and high, damaging winds to the area. Some areas reported pea-sized to ping pong-ball sized hail, FOX59 reported.
In addition, a potential tornado was seen in Monroe County just before 7 p.m. Several neighborhoods and businesses were damaged, including a Fifth Third Bank on West 3rd Street in downtown Bloomington. The drive-thru area suffered major damage, and a tarp was placed on the roof Friday morning
The severe weather also left hundreds without power.
The National Weather Service is surveying the damage in Monroe and Sullivan counties Friday.
