LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Chabad of Kentucky's Project friendship hosted a Super Bowl watch party for people experiencing homelessness in Louisville Sunday.

The event was held at Fourth Street Live! in downtown Louisville. Project Friendship partnered with homeless shelters, food outlets and community activists.

The event was about more than football.

The event had nourishing food, haircuts, clothing drives, resources for social and housing services. Coats, socks and hygiene products were handed out.

"Letting the community enjoy people that otherwise wouldn't be able to and we are blessed we are able to do it and we are happy to do it," said Rabbi Chaim Litvin.

Project Friendship provides more than $5 million in support and apparel to people in need across Kentucky.
