LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Nelson County said they arrested a Grinch who was trying to steal Christmas.

Late last month, the sheriff's office put out a "be on the lookout" in search of a suspect caught on camera stealing a sleigh, gifts and holiday decorations from a neighborhood.

In an update Tuesday, police said the culprit had been caught.

Tammy Smith, of Washington County, was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking.

Police said the deputy on the case, Deputy Bishop "Who" was able to find the stolen items and return them to their rightful owners.
