LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Retired Louisville Metro Police Sgt. Tim Stokes died Tuesday morning surrounded by family and friends.
He had pancreatic cancer.
Stokes served with LMPD from June of 2000 until he retired in 2020.
LMPD said he had a passion for helping those who struggled with mental health, so he became a crisis intervention team instruction. The role allowed him to teach hundreds of officers from LMPD and other departments in Kentucky.
