LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A local family-owned retailer celebrates 100 years of style.

Rodes For Him and For Her is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

It opened in 1914 as a men's store in the Starks building in downtown Louisville.

Over the years, it's moved, opened new stores and added women's clothing.

The owners credit one thing for its success, "It's a family business." Co-owner Susan Vogt says "we put family first, for our customers, they are part of our family."

As part of the celebration today, Mayor Greg Fischer presented the company with a proclamation for 100 years in business.
