LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A MetroSafe supervisor says South Fourth Street has reopened in downtown Louisville after being closed due to a ruptured gas line.
A construction crew ruptured a gas line in downtown Louisville's Central Business District on Tuesday morning.
South Fourth Street was closed between West Chestnut Street and Broadway while crews made repairs. Â

No injuries were reported, and there were no evacuations.
According to a MetroSafe supervisor, it happened around 11:30 a.m. on South Fourth Street, just south of West Chestnut Street. That's where construction workers breached a four-inch natural gas line, prompting a gas leak.
Representatives of LG&E and the Louisville Fire & EMS turned off the gas to make the necessary repairs.
