LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Sacred Heart Academy girls basketball team won its fifth consecutive state championship.

They faced 2-seed George Rogers Clark High School from Winchester in the finals Saturday. 

The Valkyries had 14 turnovers in the first half and were in foul trouble. The Cardinals had the lead at half, up 31-27.

However, Zakiyah Johnson and Tootie Jordan helped the Valkyries power through. SHA scored the last eight points of the game and won it, 65-60.

Johnson just received the 2025 Miss Kentucky Basketball award. She's headed to LSU next season.
