JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (AP) - A southern Indiana church is being criticized for asking for prayers for its late former head pastor who had faced child molestation allegations before he apparently killed himself.

David Clohessy, director of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, says that's "stunningly callous" and prayers should have been sought for people the pastor may have abused.

Police arrested David James Brown in June on child molestation allegations after police said he traveled to Kentucky to meet a minor. He was charged with one count of prohibited use of an electronic communication system for the purpose of procuring a minor for a sex offense.

Police say Brown died last week of an apparent suicide.
