LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — State Road 111 is a main artery for a lot of people who live in Floyd and Harrison Counties, and for people driving to and from Caesars Southern Indiana casino.
A $1.3 million bridge reconstruction project will begin on State Road 111 over Middle Creek, right before Budd Road, starting April 6.
During this time, the roadway will be down to just one lane, and crews will use temporary traffic signals during the construction.
People who drive State Road 111 often said they are not looking forward to it.
"That is ridiculous, it's gonna back up traffic and it's gonna be a nightmare and wow is about all I can say, is wow," said Renee Thornton, who travels State Road 111.
The project is expected to be completed in late July.
INDOT warns people to slow down and use caution when driving through the area.
