LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Transit Authority of River City is partnering with the Parking Authority of River City for two major music festivals in Louisville next month.
Those headed to Louder Than Life or Bourbon & Beyond can park downtown in the PARC garage at 115 W. Jefferson St. for $20. The cost includes a roundtrip TARC ride for everyone in the vehicle.
Buses will run every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. going to the Kentucky Exposition Center. Festivalgoers will board the No. 4 bus at 1st and Liberty to be taken to Gate One at the Expo Center.
From the festival, buses will run until at least midnight. Riders will board the No. 4 bus just south of Gate Three on Crittenden Drive to return downtown.
"We are proud to partner with PARC again to offer a great choice for the city of Louisville to experience these incredible music festivals," TARC Executive Director Ozzy Gibson said in a news release Thursday.Â
Louder Than Life will be held Sept. 17-20 on the Highland Festival Grounds at the Expo Center, headlined by My Chemical Romance, Iron Maiden, Pantera and Limp Bizkit. Bourbon & Beyond will follow Sept. 24-27, headlined by Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons, Chris Stapleton and Dave Matthews Band.
Set times for both festivals were announced earlier this month. Iron Maiden, Pantera, Megadeth, Alice Cooper, Rise Against and Skillet are on the lineup for opening night of Louder Than Life. Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age and Goose will headline opening night of Bourbon & Beyond.
