The Kentucky General Assembly approved House Bill 8, which requires sales tax to be collected on parking fees.
Parking Authority River City announced on Wednesday that drivers will be offered a special daily parking rate of $3 by prepaying for parking on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Daily parking rates will remain unchanged.
