TARC electric bus picks up passengers in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- TARC is getting a piece of a federal grant, and it's using it to go green.

The company will get $2.7 million to buy two new electric buses. Officials said the funding will also allow TARC to expand service to the Outer Loop corridor.

Louisville is also getting $1.5 million for traffic signal system upgrades and research.
