LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A teen is in critical condition after being shot in Shively.
Shively Police officers responded at 5:06 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 2900 block of Dixie Highway, spokesperson Jordan Brown said.
Officers arrived to find a male in his late teens who had been shot. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical condition, police said.
Shively police said a 14-year-old juvenile was taken into custody and charged with first degree assault within minutes of the shooting.
All individuals in the shooting have been accounted for and the investigation remains ongoing.
