LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Thousands of people visited Waterfront Park the past two days for Louisville Funk Fest.

The two-day music festival was held at the Great Lawn in downtown Louisville on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, hip hop artists like Jeezy, Boosie, Scarface and Too Short were scheduled to perform. On Saturday, R&B artists including Charlie Wilson, Marsha Ambrosius, Total, 112 and Shai were scheduled to perform.

"Our goal with Funk Fest is to have different genres of music so if you love music, if you love hip hop, RnB, soul, we've got a whole gumbo pot of a whole mixture of different types of genre," said Leo Bennett, founder of Funk Fest. "We bring something out for each individual that enjoys music."

It was the fifth time Funk Fest has come to Louisville. It's also the 25th anniversary for Funk Fest concerts.
