LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Downtown Louisville will get groovy this weekend as Louisville Funk Fest makes its return.

The two-day event at Waterfront Park will start at 4 p.m. Friday, June 21, and 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22. Shows will begin two hours after the gates open on both days.  

The event will kick off Friday with hip-hop artists like Jeezy, Boosie, Scarface and Too Short. Saturday will feature R&B artists including Charlie Wilson, Marsha Ambrosius, Total, 112 and Shai. 

Tickets start at $45 for each day or $80 for a two-day package of the event. Tickets will also be offered on site starting at 12 p.m. on both days for those who would like to purchase their tickets in person.

Chairs will be allowed into the event for lawn seating at the event. However, coolers or any outside foods and drinks will not be permitted at the gates.

This will be the fifth time Funk Fest has returned to Louisville.
