LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville has honored one of its supporters by naming a new health care facility for him.

The Novak Center for Children's Health is named after David Novak and his family.

The new pediatrics medical office building will allow patients to see all of their childhood health providers in a single location. Novak, the former Yum! Brands CEO, is a major financial donor for the project.

"Our family is very passionate about pediatric care," Novak said Thursday. "We're thrilled."

Novak's family also had a hand in helping to create the Wendy Novak Center for Diabetes.

The new facility is scheduled to open in July of next year.
