LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Â A woman accused of hiring a hitman to kill her ex-husband and his new wife will stay behind bars on a hefty bond.
That was the decision Friday morning from a judge who says Elizabeth Stakelbeck could still be a danger to her family if she were allowed out of jail. Stakelbeck is being held on a $250,000 bond.
Police say the crime stemmed from a bitter custody battle. They say Stakelbeck told them she would rather take her child's life than allow her ex-husband to take the child.
She's charged with solicitation to murder and trafficking in a controlled substance.
