LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A World War II solider was brought home 79 years later to be buried - thanks to DNA.

Army Private First Class Henry C. Wade was buried with his sister at a national cemetery in Pulaski County on Wednesday.

He was originally buried in Belgium when the army was unable to identify his body.

The flag draped over the casket was presented to Wade's nephew, who said his mother's final wish was to learn more about what happened to her brother.

The service included full military honors with a large crowd of friends and family in attendance.
