LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky voters have one more day to register to vote in the upcoming election.

Registration ends at 4 p.m. Tuesday. To check your voter registration or register to vote, click here.

On Tuesday, the Jefferson County Clerk's Office will host a voter registration blitz at all motor vehicle branch locations. There will be a designated area where people can fill out a registration card or update their registration.

Kentuckians can register, update their registration and request an absentee ballot. The deadline to apply online for an absentee ballot is Oct. 24.

The general election is Nov. 7.

Last week, Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams said new voter registration surged in September to 8,600.

The state's general election will be in the national spotlight with Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear as the incumbent and state Attorney General Daniel Cameron running for governor.

Adams said Republicans make up 46% of the electorate, with 1.6 million voters, and Democrat registration dipped to 44% with 1.5 million voters.
