Where was I? Oh yeah. It looks like I'm going to be doing Point of View again. But before I start that, I should reintroduce myself. I'm Bill Lamb. I ran WDRB for 17 years. In 2019, I went to Los Angeles to run two stations there, and despite COVID, it was a great experience. When my contract was up, I retired in 2022 and returned home to Louisville.

It turns out I wasn't that good at retiring. Then, two weeks ago and two years into retirement, I was asked to come back to lead WDRB. When you love the station, the people who work here and this community like I do, well, sometimes the decisions kind of make themselves.

In 17 years at WDRB, I presented 1,782 editorials for your consideration. Sometimes, people agreed with me. Sometimes, they didn't. Either was OK with me, because the purpose of Point of View was and will be to get discussion started. Too many things happen to us instead of for us, and, if we're not talking about it, well, the sheep are much easier for our politicians to fleece.

I'm going to get back to stirring the pot and calling it like I see it. I'll be holding our elected officials accountable, Republicans and Democrats on the local, state and federal levels.  I will be the guy reminding them that they are Americans first, and our country and communities should always come before their parties. Too many of them have that wrong.

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Call us, or follow us on social media.

I'm Bill Lamb, and that's my Point of View.
