A western Kentucky woman won $50,000 on a $30 Kentucky Lottery Ca$h scratch-off ticket after her son encouraged her to buy the ticket.

The Kentucky Lottery confirmed where the tickets were sold during the $1 billion run for the Powerball jackpot. 

Seconds later, a $50,000 win appeared on her screen. The odds of winning that prize with a $5 wager are one in 2,000,000.
