Another ticket worth $50,000 was sold for Monday's drawing at the Kroger at 2440 Bardstown Road, which is near the Taylorsville Road intersection. The winning ticket matched four white ball winning number and the Powerball.

Wednesday's Powerball drawing is for an estimated $1.3 billion, which is the fifth-largest jackpot in the history of the game. The estimated cash value is $589 million.

Kentucky Lottery officials said ticket sales have been "brisk" for the Powerball run at more than $1 billion.

"Our players love these high jackpots, and with higher-than-normal Powerball sales right now, they are really engaging with this game," lottery President and CEO Mary Harville said in a statement. "We already had a Kentucky retailer sell a winning $167.3 million jackpot ticket this year so let’s have another big win with this $1.3 billion jackpot."

Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Drawings are broadcast live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee, Florida. Powerball drawings are also live streamed on Powerball.com.

The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
