LMPD Sgt. Omar Lee told Det. Brian Bailey he wasn't going to charge him and failed to collect key evidence during the investigation, which is ongoing, according to an attorney for women allegedly sexually abused by Bailey. 

The lawsuit accuses law enforcement of making a series of escalating mistakes, including firing pepper balls at fleeing citizens, turning off body cameras and using deadly force without justification or warning

In court records and a press release, the attorneys claim police and city officials have ignored subpoenas and “unlawfully denied” several open records request, continuing a pattern of “lack of transparency.”
