The book, "Adventures with Malakai," was inspired by their classmate Malakai Roberts.

An additional three people are in critical condition, the New Mexico Department of Health said in a statement. "All seven people are believed to have drunk hand sanitizer containing methanol," it said.
Patients who have passed out, have chest pain, severe shortness of breath, sudden numbness or weakness, bleeding or blindness should quickly get to an emergency room, officials said.
Scores will be sent to Los Angeles, and the top 10 performers in each category will travel to California for the national competition.
