The Louisville community mourned the loss of many souls in 2023, a list highlighted by legends and heroes, hall-of-famers and servants, fathers and friends.

Hundreds of Cardinal faithful made their way inside the KFC Yum! Center Monday evening for a "Celebration of Life" in honor of the Hall of Famer. 

The $23.5 million residence hall, named for the Cardinals' Hall of Fame former men's basketball coach, is scheduled to open for the fall 2022 semester at the corner of Floyd Street and Eastern Parkway.
