Eminence Independent Schools delayed dismissal of students Thursday because of what they called a "community threat," and many students ended up in the building until after 7 p.m.
Officers were able to get each student, staff and faculty member out safely, but it took several hours for police to secure the area to do so.
Eminence Police are at the school investigating.
