Stoner-Chandler's parents are suing Shively Police, claiming that department policy should have prevented officers from ever starting the chase.

Two people were killed when the chase ended in a crash. A 9-month-old was critically injured and later died. 

The lawsuit claims wrongful death and that the officers involved in the chase were reckless.
