The community is now recovering from the day that rocked the small town.

The Harrison County Highway Department said three bridges and at least four section of roads are "washed out."

As of 4 p.m. most of the water in downtown Corydon had receded.

Rescue crews from multiple counties responded with boats to help reach people.
