Construction took a year, but the initial planning for a larger facility began nearly two decades ago.

Lubbers, known throughout the industry as "The Whiskey Professor," has been with Bardstown-based Heaven Hill for almost 20 years.

Since opening in 2013 the distillery has welcomed nearly 1 million guests from around the world.
