More than a dozen Heine Brothers' Coffee workers gathered in front of the chain's downtown Louisville location Friday afternoon to rally in support of their plan to unionize.

The final day for the Heine Brothers' shop at at 2714 Frankfort Ave. will be Dec. 27.
According to a news release, the 2,000 square-foot cafe includes, "an outdoor patio, spacious indoor seating area, convenient drive-thru and will employ 15 people."
The first Heine Brothers' Coffee opened on Oct. 1, 1994, at the corner of Bardstown Road and Longest Avenue in the Highlands.
Proceeds from specially designed coffee mugs will go toward providing kids with soccer equipment, gear, registration fees and transportation to soccer events.
