The Blessings in a Backpack Louisville chapter provided more than 233,000 weekend meals to more than 6,100 children during the 2023-2024 school year.
The funds will support the chapter's annual efforts to provide weekend food assistance to 5,400 children from 41 local schools.
"Chef in a Box" begins Wednesday, and each week, a local restaurant and chef will be responsible for filling 50 bags with food, gift cards, swag and sometimes surprises.
