OIS Bardstown Road

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was hospitalized after being shot in an officer-involved shooting early Friday morning on Bardstown Road near the Watterson Expressway.

According to LMPD, two officers were doing a traffic stop at a Krispy Kreme on Bardstown Road around 12:30 a.m. when they saw two cars, a Tahoe and another SUV, driving parallel on Bardstown Road having an argument.

The Tahoe was driving the wrong way. Officers then heard gun shots and while telling the cars to stop, one officer fired a gun.

The SUV drove off, but the Tahoe stayed at the scene. The driver of the Tahoe was shot in both arms.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is expected to survive.

The driver of the SUV has not been found, but LMPD said there is no threat to the public.

No officers were injured, and LMPD is expected to release more details on the shooting in the coming days.
