LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Local chefs are getting in the kitchen to help feed local children.
Blessings in a Backpack is hosting its "Pack the Sack" event on Saturday, March 8 from 6 to 10:30 p.m. at the Olmsted, 3701 Frankfort Avenue. It's the organization's annual fundraiser dinner.
Local chefs, Josh Moore, James Moran, and Jackie Joseph will all cook world-class dishes. Chef Brandi Alexander will demonstrate making an appetizer, which will go with a custom cocktail.

The Blessings in a Backpack Louisville chapter provided more than 233,000 weekend meals to more than 6,100 children during the 2023-2024 school year.
