Randy Lankford was arrested and charged in August 2022 after investigators found 31 bodies and 17 cremated remains at his funeral home on Middle Road.

Weeks after several bodies were discovered at a southern Indiana funeral home, the business owner appeared in court for the first time. 

Late last week and over the weekend, investigators found 31 bodies and remains inside the Lankford Funeral Home and Family Center.

Friday evening, the Jeffersonville Police Department said they "began an investigation into the conditions of the Lankford Funeral Home and Family Center, located in the 3100 block of Middle Road."
