A Louisville firefighter drowned in a boating accident while in Tennessee Wednesday morning.

Trellis Brewing in Louisville's Smoketown neighborhood will be hosting the fundraiser for Christian Smith's family on Aug. 20. 

Smith was 35 years old. He had been with Anchorage Middletown Fire since 2014 and was assigned to Rescue Company 33.
